Dissemination in local Serbian media: Future & AI Summit

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing how the healthcare system functions, as medicine increasingly shifts from treating diseases to prevention, early detection, and avoidance, thereby contributing to extending human life expectancy.

“Effective treatment of cardiovascular diseases, especially heart failure, requires the integration of advanced digital technologies and AI to improve early diagnosis, risk assessment, and personalized treatment,” says Prof. Dr. Nenad Filipović, head of the European STRATIFYHF project, a long-time researcher at Harvard and a speaker at the Future & AI Summit 2026.

“Artificial Intelligence has brought changes to every field, and in medicine, it has distinguished those who know how to effectively use AI tools. Through the STRATIFYHF project, we have kept pace with new trends and achieved significant progress in the early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. Essentially, we have developed an innovative AI-based decision support system that enables precise risk assessment, early detection, and prediction of disease progression by rapidly linking vast amounts of patient data—from basic health information to lifestyle habits. Models are further developed to assess individual risks and predict how the disease will evolve. This allows doctors to react in time, which is crucial for a longer and higher-quality life,” explains Dr. Filipović.

Additionally, Filipović notes that this EU project is developing tools to help physicians assess the probability of a patient’s condition worsening, allowing them to adjust therapy and monitoring with fewer complications, fewer hospital visits, and better disease management. According to him, such approaches enable disease detection at a very early stage when treatment is most effective, and in the future, it will even be possible to recognize heart problem risks based solely on the voice.

The extent to which AI can further contribute to longevity and improved quality of life through similar projects will be revealed during discussions at the Future & AI Summit 2026. On May 5th at Ložionica, the summit will gather experts ready to utilize the potential of AI tools and offer solutions.

The significance of the topic is confirmed by the high interest in the summit, with over 90% of the capacity already filled. Hurry to secure your ticket if you want to be in the room on May 5th with people who understand what is coming and how AI will transform medicine, education, and other sectors.
